Degas said “art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”
Gorman-Kahler says, “my artwork seeks to explore what might be seen from the perspective of the very small …by a cricket in a field …by a beetle on a flower. My inspiration is all things that grow and my passion is to remember the limitless possibilities of ‘what if’ that occupied a childhood influenced by, and spent in, nature.”
Gorman-Kahler works in pen and ink and in color pencil for fine drawings, and in acrylic for mural work and canvas paintings that are displayed here.
