In April, the Morse Institute Library begins its Art in Spring workshops. We are pleased to welcome artist Emily Pechet to lead these classes. Emily received her MFA from Hunter College and taught in New York City at the Park Avenue Synagogue School and also at Mosaic Preparatory Academy of Harlem. Emily studied in Rome as well as in Paris at Ecole des Beaux-Arts. She was an Assistant Art Teacher at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC and is currently the Art Teacher at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, MA.
On April 5th, join us for Oil Pastels inspired by Marc Chagall. On May 3rd, we will create 2D collages in the style of Henri Matisse using oil pastels mixed with cut paper. On June 7th we will practice watercolors, outside if the weather allows, drawing inspiration from nature. These workshops are free and appropriate for adults and teens.
